Consumption:
As with all cured ham pieces, to enjoy and make the most of the 100% Iberian acorn-fed DOP Jabugo ham, a proper cut must be practiced. This involves peeling the piece well, removing the rind and outer fat, and then cutting into thin slices.
Remember to open the ham from the hock area (the one with the least meat) if it is going to be consumed slowly. However, if it is for this year's Christmas ham, a time when this product is usually consumed more intensively, you can open it from the shank.
If you buy your Jabugo ham in boneless or sliced formats, it is recommended to keep them refrigerated so that the product maintains the maximum quality for a long period of time.
