Vol d'Ànima by Raimat Rosé is a rosé wine made by the winery Raimat, in Raimat (Lleida), within the D.O. Costers del Segre.
Raimat is the second project of the Codorniu Grup, owned by the Raventós family
The Raimat winery building dates back to 1918. Joan Rubió i Bellver, who was a disciple of Antoni Gaudí, designed what was then the first building constructed with reinforced concrete in Spain. It was described as nothing more and nothing less than the "cathedral of wine"
Currently at Raimat they practice sustainable viticulture to obtain high quality products by minimising the use of agrochemicals, reducing waste and optimising production methods by fully integrating the available resources
Raimat has stood out from the outset in the field of oenological research, with more than 30 wine research projects confirming this winery as a true benchmark at European and world level. Vol d'Ànima de Raimat Rosé is a rosé wine made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from our own vineyards
Once the grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, they are transported quickly to the winery to preserve all their qualities. Once in the winery, the grapes are pressed and only the free-run juice is used for vinification. The musts are decanted separately, and just before fermentation the coupage is carried out. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Vol d'Ànima de Raimat Rosé is a delicate, fruity and fragrant wine. The nose highlights the fusion of fresh red fruit aromas and aromas of citrus white fruit. In the mouth it has volume, is agile and fresh with a very elegant finish
