Artuke La Condenada is much more than a wine: it is the recovery of an almost forgotten vineyard, located on a stony hillside in Baños de Ebro, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, and cultivated according to sustainable agricultural principles.
Its name honors the difficulty of working this plot, "condemned" due to its low productivity, but which holds a viticultural treasure.
This extremely limited-production wine is made primarily from Tempranillo, accompanied by small proportions of other native varieties such as Graciano, Garnacha, and Palomino. It ferments in wooden vats and is aged in large-format French oak barrels, always seeking to preserve the purest expression of the vineyard.
Bright cherry red color with garnet reflections. Clean, medium-bodied, and elegant tears.
High aromatic intensity. Delicate notes of fresh red fruit (wild strawberry, cherry), blue flowers, soft spices (clove, white pepper), and a background of graphite and dry earth reflecting its stony origins. Subtle hints of aging are perfectly integrated, without masking the varietal expression.
Delicate and fresh entry. Silky palate, with highly polished tannins and great balance. Its elegance, minerality, and lively acidity stand out, promising excellent development in the bottle. Long finish, with hints of fruit, flowers, and saline notes.
