Arzuaga Crianza, made with Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, seems to us a wine very attached to the terroir, fruity, sweet and round. Like every vintage, it is a great Crianza.
The Arzuaga Navarro Winery is located in Quintanilla de Onésimo since the early 90s with an entrepreneurial character, sensitivity to aesthetics, and a desire for perfection.
Arzuaga Crianza is a blend of 95% Tinto Fino and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from their La Planta estate, at 911 meters above sea level, and from another estate with century-old vineyards in Burgos.
These grapes are hand-harvested at their optimal ripeness in 15 kg crates. The clusters go through a selection table and then are destemmed. The grapes are then placed in stainless steel tanks, kept for a few days in cold storage, and undergo a slow alcoholic fermentation at around 27ºC.
After aging for 16 months in 60% French oak barrels and 40% American oak barrels, this powerful and fruity wine is achieved, yet with elegance and finesse.
Arzuaga Crianza is ideal for accompanying meats such as cheeks or oxtail, complex stews with garnish, grilled red meats, and roasted suckling lamb.
It is recommended to consume this red wine at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
