The Bernaví Tres de Tres is an organic red wine produced by the Bernaví winery, located in Vilalba dels Arcs, in the Terra Alta region, Tarragona, Spain. This wine stands out for its unique blend of three varieties of grenache: black grenache, white grenache, and hairy grenache, all grown on the Mas Vernet estate. Characteristics of the wine: - Color: It has a medium ruby red color with violet reflections. - Aroma: On the nose, notes of red fruits blend with spicy nuances, undergrowth herbs, and earthy touches. - Taste: In the mouth, it offers a horizontal entry with light and rounded tannins; it is fresh, saline, and has a prolonged finish. Production: The harvest is done manually in mid-September, collecting the grapes in boxes. The fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26°C, with short macerations and native yeasts. The wine ages for four months on fine lees; 25% in oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Vineyards: - Location: Mas Vernet estate, located at an altitude of 350-400 meters. - Soils: Panal, composed of quaternary fossil dunes with a limy texture, limestone, and high gypsum content. - Planting density: 4,200 plants per hectare on trellises. - Management: Alternating row covers, mechanical tillage, green pruning, and cluster thinning are used to optimize the quality and quantity of production. Pairing: This wine pairs well with red meats, poultry, pasta, and semi-cured cheeses. It is recommended to serve between 16-18°C to fully appreciate its qualities.
