Borsao Tres Picos is a red wine produced by the Bodega Borsao, under the D.O. Campo de Borja.
The winery Borsao began in the year 1958 as a cooperative producer of the Campo de Borja. A winery with years of experience in the variety Garnacha, Reina variety in the Campo de Borja.
Borsao Tres Picos, as it could not be otherwise, is a monovarietal of the variety Garnacha, elaborated with grapes from old vineyards from 35 to 60 years old planted at 600-700 meters of altitude.
The vineyards are planted on soils clay-limestone, stony and silty to the back of the Moncayo, a mountain that protects them regulating the cold and heat.
Climate is a climate of contrasts. Very cold in winter with Atlantic influence and with the Cierzo, a cold wind from the northwest.
Summers, on the other hand, have a Mediterranean influence and are summers with high temperatures.
It is also noteworthy the contrast of temperature between days and nights, which causes a slow maturation, providing a good acidity and a nice color to the wines.
Borsao Three Peaks is very intense cherry colour with purple hues. Clean and very bright, it has a thick tear of slow fall.
On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruit are highlighted along with certain floral memories.
In the mouth it is a silky and esructurado wine. BlackBerry, plum and vanilla next to leather souvenirs. Good acidity. Sweet tannins.
