The Bourbon Rebel Yell Small Batch Reserve is a classic Kentucky Whiskey made in homage to the British musician and actor Billy Idol. This Bourbon immortalizes the 80s rock star.
Made in classic style, the Bourbon Rebel Yell Small Batch Reserve (45.3%) personifies the lifestyle of the 80s. Famous for its quality and being crafted from wheat, corn, and malt in small batches. Its notes of caramel, oak, and vanilla are highlighted by its smoother taste compared to bourbon made with rye mash.
Rebel Yell Whiskey is a well-known brand in the U.S. for being pioneers in using wheat mash instead of rye mash, which gives a different and smoother flavor to their bourbon. Rebel Yell was founded in 1849 by William Laure and is owned by W.L. Weller and Sons.
In the 80s, while at a party with rock legends such as Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones, Keith Richards offered his bottle of Rebel Yell for cheers. Billy Idol liked the Whiskey so much that he went on to write a song in tribute to Rebel Yell and its greatness.
While all Whiskeys have changed in the world, Rebel Yell has remained true to its rebellious roots.
