Casa Lebai Matadiablos is a red wine belonging to the Ribera del Duero denomination of origin and is made from Tinto Fino by the Casa Lebai winery.
Matadiablos is a vineyard noted for its plantation of the Tinto Fino variety, popularly known as Tempranillo. It was established in 1997 by Asier and Rodrigo's grandfather, using the goblet training technique on a gentle north-facing clay slope in the Aguachar area.
Its grapes come from the Tinto Fino variety, and the fermentation process is carried out in stainless steel tanks, which allows the purity and freshness of the fruity aromas to be preserved.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes an ageing period of 12 months in foudre oak barrels, with a capacity of 3000 litres. These large barrels allow for a slower and smoother evolution of the wine, giving it greater complexity and balance in its flavours and aromas.
The wine has a cherry colour with purplish glints.
On the nose, it is expressive and displays notes of red fruit, subtle floral nuances and a marked mineral character that evokes the presence of clay.
On the palate, there is a notable freshness, with a medium structure that gives it balance. The palate is characterised by its elegance, without showing excessive opulence, and has remarkable length and persistence. It is a refined wine, ready to develop its potential in the bottle.
