The Pedrosillano de la Vieja Olma chickpea, grown in the fertile plain of Saldaña, is characterised by its small size, although slightly larger than in other areas, probably due to the coolness of the plain, bathed by the river Carrión. The most important characteristics lie in its flavour, in its cooking and in its invaluable skin. All our vegetables are produced by small farmers in the region of Saldaña in Palencia and belong to the Palencia Food Club which guarantees our origin as well as our quality. With our project we collaborate in a sustainable agriculture giving the farmer alternatives to other products, promoting crop rotation and avoiding incorporating chemical fertilizers to our vegetables and in turn, providing nitrogen to future crops.
