Dewar 15 years The Monarch is a double-aged Scotch whisky in oak casks. Its name is due to thefamous painting "The Monarch of the Glen",because its master mixer, Stephanie Macleod, used the painting to be inspired by the creation of this special whiskey.
In 1851, Sir Edwin Landseer oil-painted the Scottish Highlands and called it "The Monarch of the Glen". It instantly became a masterpiece and was very popular during the NINETEENTH century. In 1919, John Dewar and Sons bought the painting.
Dewar 15 years The MonarchIthas been aged for a period of 15 years, more or less the average age of much of the Scottish whiskies, inoak casks that have contained sherry and Bourbon. It is a whisky made from vintage rare malt whiskies and Scotch-grained whiskies.
