Edra Garnacha Gris 2016, a variety of Garnacha that is practically extinct. The vineyard, located in the middle of the desert in Bajo Aragón, with only 100ml of rainfall per year, has vines that are around 80-100 years old. The grapes have a skin with a toasted yellow color, and the must is completely grey. When fermenting, the wine takes on coppery colors, giving off aromas of blood orange, pomegranate, and a hint of mandarin. The flavors are reminiscent of sweet and fresh fruits, with a refreshing acidity that pairs wonderfully with pickles, salty foods, and blue cheeses. Because it is a distant wine (in Lecera-Zaragoza) from the IGP Ribera del Gállego region, where the Edra winery is located (in Ayerbe-Huesca), the wine is labeled as a varietal wine.
