It has been made with sacas of 2 of its most exclusive wines, with exceptional quality and extremely old. The sacas are limited to 600 numbered bottles of 375 ml. and are presented in individual wooden cases. This is an extremely "Rare" Pedro Ximenez wine. A wine for aging that has seen the light after more than 60 years stored under great care and that has given birth in a very limited edition bottling. The bags are limited to 600 numbered bottles of 375 ml. and are presented in individual wooden cases.
This Jerez winery, created in 1972, owes its name to King Ferdinand of Castile, "The Saint", who conquered much of Andalusia in the thirteenth century and discovered the exceptional qualities of the soil and climate to produce quality wines. The history of the winery begins with the Andrada Vanderwilde family, with a winemaking tradition in the area, in 1972 the brand "Fernando de Castilla" was created with the aim of producing one of the finest brandies in Spain. Later on, other products such as Pedro Ximénez, Olorosos, Palo Cortado, etc. were incorporated. Today it is one of the few wineries that continues to produce its products in the traditional way and has survived the multinational concentration. In its cellars, located in the historic center of Jerez, are stored real treasures of this famous wine region. The house brandies, of perfect smoothness and harmony, are made from distillates of selected white wines, which begin their aging process in new French and American oak casks and complete it for a long period in casks that have previously contained high quality sherry wines. Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla only produces brandies of the highest categories, protected by the Consejo Regulador del Brandy de Jerez, of which it is a founding member.
