Extra Harvest organic Galician sparkling cider bottle 75 cl
Organic Maeloc natural cider 750 ml
Organic natural cider made with 100% organic product from Galician origin. Each liter of this refreshing drink is made with about 12 apples grown by local producers, following a program that promotes sustainable development in rural areas in Galicia.
In addition to being the perfect choice as a refreshing drink, Bio Maeloc sweet cider is also ideal for accompanying meals.
The carbonic flavor of the needle will enhance the salts while the sweet will create a very interesting complexity with their bitterness, releasing all their nuances.
Thanks to its acidity, Bio cider is a good companion for fish dishes. Just like with white wines, these two flavors complement each other perfectly as they enhance each other instead of overshadowing each other like with other types of beverages.
Although Asturian cider is the most popular within Spain, in the Lugo region of Chantada they have been growing apples and producing their own variety since Celtic times. Maeloc ciders are made respecting this tradition in manufacturing: they use spontaneous fermentation, something that sets them apart from the rest of the ciders in the market.
Until the 90s, this tradition in the cider world was limited to apple cultivation, which were then sold to Asturian cider companies as raw material. From that moment on, both private entrepreneurs and the municipality itself began to promote locally made products, creating events such as the Feira da Sidra among other things.
The Maeloc company has been an important part of this recovery, as since 2001 they produce around two million liters of cider per year. Among them are the Bio sweet cider and dry cider. All of these products are made within the Mercado de la Cosecha plan, an initiative that promotes sustainable and competitive development in rural areas in Galicia.
Without a doubt, Bio Maeloc sweet cider is an ideal alternative to consume, whether on its own as a refreshment or paired with other foods.
