Condrieu is a white wine with controlled designation of origin produced on the right bank of the Rhône, near Condrieu, south of the city of Vienne. The Viognier grape, unique to Condrieu, gives it richness and generosity.
"The Mandouls" from the Ferraton house is a Condrieu that combines complexity and freshness. The soils, exposed to the south and southeast, consist of shale, granitic sands, and surface alluvium. The vineyards are established on steep slopes arranged in small terraces (the Chalets) supported by retaining walls. All vineyard work is done entirely by hand. The Viognier fully expresses itself!
On the nose, there are notes of exotic fruits with great aromatic freshness. The palate is pure and long, with flavors of white peach and exotic fruits.
This exceptional wine can, for example, accompany a sweet and savory dish or foie gras.
Enjoy!
