Fontaine Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet is a red wine made with Pinot Noir by Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard. The wine remains on its lees for 14 months. In total, it undergoes 18 months of aging. The winery purchases the wood, dries it, and has the barrels made to ensure perfect drying and quality. In Burgundy, tradition is deeply rooted, and winemaking at Fontaine-Gagnard is no exception. All wines are fermented with indigenous yeast. The whites are aged for a year and the reds for 18 months in barrels made by the domaine. Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the best traditional domains in the Côte d'Or, a true specialist in Chassagne, producing excellent wines that set the bar high each vintage and reflect their wide range of great terroirs.
