[ps2id id='anchor1' target=''/]Mild Smoked Paprika Pack El Galgo. This pack contains one tin of each of the three traditional flavors of paprika: Sweet, bittersweet, and spicy. It is ideal for gifting.
A product idea designed for those who prefer a milder paprika. Under the brand El Galgo, we market a smoked paprika that will not leave any user indifferent. This paprika is made to suit the most subtle palates, as it will only leave delicious smoky notes in stews and dishes, which is the main difference compared to our traditional Caballo de Oros Vera paprika that has a stronger flavor and aroma that permeate the recipes in which this product is traditionally used, as well as the sausages and meat preparations that contain it.
Different flavors: sweet, bittersweet, or spicy.
You can find this new concept of smoked paprika in the three traditional flavors of Vera paprika: sweet, bittersweet, and spicy. In case this is the first time you hear about it and you are not familiar with these concepts, we explain it below:
Sweet Flavor: has a heat level of 0, it is not spicy at all. The sweet flavor paprika is the most consumed in most of the Iberian Peninsula.
Bittersweet Flavor: has a subtle hint of spiciness that on a scale of 1 to 10, with 0 being the sweet flavor and 10 being the spicy flavor; the bittersweet flavor would be at most a 3, so we must avoid the traditional mistake that most users fall into, thinking that the bittersweet flavor has a spiciness level between sweet and spicy. Bittersweet is closer to sweet than spicy. It is the most consumed paprika flavor in the Vera region and in the northern area of Extremadura as well as in Castilla y León.
Spicy Flavor: is a flavor exclusively designed for spice lovers. In the well-known Scoville scale used to measure the spiciness level of foods, the mild smoked paprika El Galgo can range between 7,000 and 8,000 Scoville units (lower than our spicy Vera paprika: 12,000 and our chili peppers 18,000).
