Elaboration and aging

Hito 2020 is a 100% Tinto Fino varietal. The grapes macerate for 18 days and undergo remontage. Subsequently, it ages for eight months in French oak barrels, which gives it a subtle elegance and sets it apart from other young wines in the area, approaching maturity similar to wines with some aging. The word "HITO" means a stone post, sometimes carved, used to indicate direction or distance on roads or to delimit land.

Hito was created as a young wine to complete the range of a modern and innovative winery. It is made with the youngest vineyards of the winery, grafted with Tinto Fino clones from the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro.

Tasting notes for Hito 2020

• Appearance: Hito has a covered cherry red color.
• Nose: On the nose, it presents itself as a mature, interesting, and complex ensemble, with black fruits in compote seasoned with hints of spices and licorice. When still, we can distinguish the aromas of coffee and coconut from its aging, which add elegance and finesse.
• Palate: On the palate, it is friendly and sweet, well-balanced, with a warm and persistent aftertaste.

Pairing

Hito is ideal to accompany meat rice dishes, cold cuts, and legumes.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 16ºC.
