The hams purchased at Casa Ortega, are filleted or portioned at the time of the order , as we have been doing since 1939 in our traditional butcher shops.
The cuts are sent vacuum packed guaranteeing the cold chain , ready to be consumed refrigerated or frozen and are correctly labeled to ensure absolute traceability of the product.
Selecta pigs are born and raised in Galicia with a traditional breeding for at least 6 months. They are cared for by their farmers with special pampering, their selected breed that favors the infiltration of fat with a high percentage of monounsaturated fatty acids and their natural feeding with chestnuts contribute to a tender, juicy and tasty meat with a slight sweet nuance. The wide variety of Selecta Coren pork meats (secret, ribs, sirloin, cheek...) make it a very versatile product.
