More information

The red wine La cueva del Contador is a wine made with Tempranillo and Graciano grapes in the Rioja Designation of Origin by Bodega Contador.

The respect for the roots can be seen in the name itself: both the Cueva del Contador and the Contador itself are named after the caves in which, in the past, wines were made in many villages of La Rioja.

Alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of between 18-25ºC in 10,000 litre capacity French oak. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes of Cueva del Contador

It is an exuberant and powerful wine with a pure, refined profile, with great balance and freshness, in which the fruit always stands out above the ageing notes.

Aromas of ripe, fresh red and black fruits, with good integration of the wood in this wine.
