HACIENDA LÓPEZ DE HARO CRIANZA 2020 D.O. RIOJA

Hacienda López de Haro Crianza 2020, produced by Bodega Hacienda López de Haro, is a Red Wine from the Rioja D.O. made with the best Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano grapes, aged for 18 months in barrels and with 13.5% alcohol. From the heart of the Rioja Denomination of Origin comes the Hacienda López de Haro collection. Sonsierra, in the heart of Rioja Alta, is bordered to the north by the Sierra de Cantabria and to the south by the Ebro river. The microclimate generated by its special geographical characteristics is perfect for vineyards, especially for the Tempranillo variety. Perhaps that is why this is one of the Rioja regions with the oldest winemaking tradition.

Varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano.

Vineyard: Selection of old vineyards with low production settled in poor soils on the terraces of the Ebro, in the Sonsierra area.

Harvest: Manual harvest during the month of October.

Production: 10 days of maceration. Controlled fermentation at 28ºC.

Aging: 18 months in French and American oak barrels.

Alcohol content: 13.5% Vol

Tasting notes

Appearance: Garnet color with tile tones.

Nose: Complex, aromas of ripe red fruit and licorice, combined with notes of coffee, vanilla, and balsamic from aging.

Palate: Smooth and velvety, with sweet and ripe tannins. Friendly and easy to drink. Long aftertaste.
