The denomination of origin Los Pedroches originates from Iberian breed pigs. They live with calm tranquility among centuries-old holm oaks, cork oaks, and gall oaks in the Dehesa de los Pedroches. Their diet revolves around acorns and natural pasture. Their exterior shape is elongated, stylized, and defined by the so-called serrano cut in a 'V', which presents a characteristic color ranging from pink to purple-red, with infiltrations of fat in the muscular mass. It is juicy and has a pleasant aroma characteristic of this product. The fat is shiny, aromatic, and has a pleasant taste.
