Magnum Sierra Cantabria Selección is a red wine from the Rioja D.O. produced by Bodega Sierra Cantabria.
The winery, founded by Mr. Guillermo Eguren in 1957, is located in the Riojan town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, between the Ebro River and the Sierra de Cantabria.
Magnum Sierra Cantabria Selección is a single-varietal wine made from Tempranillo grapes. The grapes are handpicked and undergo a double selection process, first in the vineyard and then in the winery. Once in the winery, the must ferments for 2 days with selected yeast at 27ºC. Subsequently, there is a 17-day maceration period, followed by cold stabilization.
To complete the fermentation process, Sierra Cantabria Selección ages for 6 months in tanks and then for another 6 months in American and French oak barrels.
Magnum Sierra Cantabria Selección is ideal to pair with cold cuts, rice dishes, pasta, legumes, potatoes, white and red meats grilled or roasted, and mildly seasoned stews.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature between 17 and 19ºC.
