Malleolus is a wine with the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin made 100% from Tinto Fino. Malleolus, translated from Latin as "majuelo", is the term used to refer to vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. With its creation, the categories of crianza, reserva, and gran reserva are replaced by wines with their own identity. Cultivated from vines between 25 and 75 years old, it represents a turning point in the history of Emilio Moro.
The wine has remained macerating with the skins for 18 days and then undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. It has been aged for 18 months in new Allier French oak barrels until the moment of bottling.
Malleolus is ideal to accompany meat rice dishes and spiced stews. It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 16ºC.
