Matasnos Syrah is a single-varietal red wine produced by Bosque de Matasnos winery, located in the IGP Castilla y León. This wine comes from a unique 3-hectare plot located in Peñaranda de Duero, at an altitude of 940 meters, with sandy clay-loam soils and limestone bedrock. The harvest is done manually in 12-kilo boxes, and the grapes are transported in cold storage to the winery, where they remain overnight to reduce their temperature before fermentation.
