More information
Mauro is a red wine from V.T. Castilla y León elaborated by Mauro wineries.
The vintage was mild and dry, with 20% less rainfall than average. Both the winter and the spring had a water deficit and generally mild weather. In April there were late frosts that did not affect the buds, as vegetative development was slowed down by the lack of rainfall.
In summer, occasional thunderstorms and moderate temperatures brought coolness to the vines, which favoured ideal phenolic ripening. Acidity remained at proportionate levels until the harvest, which began on 11 September, with lower production and light bunches.
