Production and aging
Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a wine with the designation of Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, made with 100% Tempranillo grapes.
Aged for 33 months in new and used French and American oak barrels.
The harvest was marked by winter drought and scarce water reserves in the vineyard. The matured plants, with controlled yields, located in poor and worked soils, matured better. A continental summer, with a cycle ending with marked thermal contrasts between day and night, led to a slow ripening of the clusters, which arrived at the winery with little weight and high concentration.
