Melior Oak Wine

Elaboration and aging

Melior is a single varietal of Tempranillo. The grapes come from our own vineyards in Pago Villabuena, planted on a soil with a Franco-sandy-clay texture at about 800 meters above sea level. Melior ages for 6 months in new American oak barrels and an additional 6 months in the bottle.

Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature and in a controlled manner.

Melior Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Melior has a layer of dark cardinal and purple tones. It appears clean and bright.
• Nose: Noticeable complexity of primary aromas, with ripe red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, well integrated with tertiary aging spices, highlighting aromas of coffee, licorice, and vanilla.
• Palate: Full-bodied and intense, yet lively and fresh. Noticeable progression, with significant sweet tannins. Important fruity sensations, with hints of clean wood, and a long and persistent finish.

Pairing

Melior is ideal to accompany grilled meats, mild meat stews, cheeses, and cured meats.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
