Melior is a fresh and cheerful wine with elegant tannins and a good presence of ripe fruit. Its finish is long and persistent.
Wine made by Matarromera, a company present in six appellations of origin: Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Cigales, Toro, Castilla León, and Rioja, all of them with high-end wines and international recognition.
Melior is a single varietal of Tempranillo. The grapes come from our own vineyards in Pago Villabuena, planted on a soil with a Franco-sandy-clay texture at about 800 meters above sea level. Melior ages for 6 months in new American oak barrels and an additional 6 months in the bottle.
Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature and in a controlled manner.
Melior is ideal to accompany grilled meats, mild meat stews, cheeses, and cured meats.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
