Mezcal Derrumbes presents us with Derrumbes Oaxaca, originating from the lands of Oaxaca (Mexico) and made from the agave varieties Espadín and Tobalá.

This mezcal is handcrafted by the expert distiller Maestro Javier Mateo, who along with his family, produces artisanal mezcals. First, Mezcal Derrumbes creates a large hole where they put black oak and also with tahona from the land. After the preparation for Derrumbes Oaxaca is complete, Maestro Javier Mateo and his family begin the fermentation process, using pulque and water from the ancestral Zapotec town of Mitla to support the fermentation of the agave varieties espadín and tobalá. The aging process results in a full-bodied mezcal with smoky and light characteristics that help transform the mezcal profile to be more mineral and fruity.
