The wines of Monte la Reina are born in a unique enclave at the foot of a 19th century castle and very close to the Vega del Duero . Its production process is carried out in modern facilities equipped with the latest technology to achieve that elegant and velvety wine, so characteristic of Monte la Reina. The winery is half-buried on the hill, with the aim of combining aesthetic and technical purposes and achieving a good temperature inside the different warehouses.
A continental climate , with cold winters and hot summers , altitudes of around 750 meters and strong temperature changes Between day and night they provide the necessary climatic conditions for the grape to acquire excellent maturity, a great frankness in aroma, intense colors and a very balanced expression. These weather conditions, together with the professionalism and career of its winemaker, José Nuño , make Monte la Reina wines have an unmistakable identity stamp.
Bodegas Monte la Reina have the best qualification in the BRC and IFS International Certificates (level A). In addition, they are committed to ecological agriculture and free of contamination , making their wines without harming the environment. The winery has solar panels that supply it with the energy necessary for its operation in order to be more sustainable and return to the environment, in some way, part of what it gives us.
