The Frantoio EVOO has a highly appreciated flavor and aroma. The taste is fruity, with sweet notes and bitter and spicy nuances, reminiscent of fresh herbs, tomato, lettuce, artichoke, apple, grain, rosemary, celery, and almond, leaving a fruity and light aftertaste. Some describe its flavor as elegant and it is known as a fine and velvety oil that evolves into slightly spicy tones in the throat.
It is recommended for frying, as well as for raw consumption, especially in salads, and, being an Italian variety, it gives a very special flavor to pasta dishes, as well as to fish, such as steamed white fish, with raw oil, or marinated with blue fish.
