When he tasted it, Louis XIV proclaimed Tokaj "the king's wine and the king of wines". The legend of Tokaj has grown and grown in its four hundred year history; but it was not until 1630 that the greatness of the Oremus vineyard was first spoken of. Today it is the one that receives the most recognition universal.Producto from the Oremus terroir, the Oremus nectar stands out among all the wines of Aszú. It is an incredibly rich drink, incomparable in the world. It has a low alcohol content (2% to 3%), since not all of the concentrated sugar in it reaches fermentation, and it is not unusual to find 500 grams or more of residual sugar per liter. Aszú berries are harvested individually. We must not forget that each harvester will pick between 5 and 10 kg of grapes per day. The berries rest for 15 to 20 days and the slight pressure exerted by the weight of the grapes themselves causes the extraction of the juice they contain. The must is then transferred to 50-liter glass containers and left to ferment very slowly. After a year, it is transferred to 68-liter Átalag barrels, where it will continue its refinement. Finally, it ages in the bottle in a journey that can even result in décadas.Eszencia is the nectar of Tokaj and the soul of Oremus wines. Pure concentration and intensity.
