Awards
The Arrayán Rosé Wine made from Garnacha grapes, is delicate and balanced, allowing you to discover a new world of sensations through this suggestive and minority variety.
An authentic rarity of Garnacha Peluda, an almost extinct grape, is a native variety of Castilla La Mancha, recovered and grafted onto the soils of Méntrida to enjoy all its nuances.
Ideal for consumption within the natural year, although it can be enjoyed for another year without diminishing its numerous virtues.
After manual harvesting in 20 kg boxes, the grapes are refrigerated at 4ºC before fermentation. It is made through direct pressing. It ferments spontaneously in an 800-liter clay egg.
Bodegas ArrayánArrayán seeks to express the terroir through different varieties. To do this, they practice organic viticulture, environmentally friendly, without using herbicides or insecticides, promoting biodiversity and balance.
These wines are made from vines located in Sta. Cruz del Retamar, Toledo, under the DOP Méntrida, and other old vines in nearby towns in the provinces of Toledo and Ávila (Cebreros), belonging to the Sierra de Gredos. Located on sandy, granite, and slate soils at different altitudes.
There are old vines of albillo and garnacha, which are the local varieties of Méntrida and the entire Sierra de Gredos, and more recent plantations of other grapes on the estate.
The climate is continental with cold winters and hot summers. The acclimatization of the old vines to the land and the altitude at which they are located is essential to lengthen the vegetative cycle and promote slower ripening.
