Orange juice oranges are usually smaller in size than table oranges, have thin skin (and therefore more difficult to peel), and have seeds inside. On the other hand, when buying juice oranges, you receive oranges with a slightly less shiny appearance. Juice oranges have a somewhat yellowish color, and it is not uncommon to find some type of external imperfection as well.
Although there is no insurmountable barrier between buying table oranges and juice oranges, since juice can be extracted from both and of course, you can consume the whole fruit,the ideal varieties for making juice belong to the group of white oranges. In this group we can find the Salustiana or Valencia Late varieties.
Once ripe, they offer anintensely sweet flavor. White oranges are seasonal fruits, which run from January to June.
