Pruno is the best Spanish wine in history for under 20 dollars, according to Robert Parker.
Finca Villacreces is located in the Golden Mile of the Ribera del Duero. Its vineyards border those of Vega Sicilia and the landscape, pine forests, olive trees and junipers, not only adds aesthetic beauty to the environment but also a particular personality to its wines.
Pruno is a blend of Tinto Fino (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). As for the elaboration of this fantastic wine, after manual harvesting in 15 kg boxes, the grapes went through a double selection table, first selecting the clusters manually and then the berries through a ventilation system. Subsequently, an alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks before aging.
Pruno ages for 12 months in 3-year-old French oak barrels.
Pruno is ideal to accompany beef, meat rice dishes, roasts, roasted lamb, complex salads, and grilled red meats.
It is recommended to consume this red wine at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
