The Clos Alkio Fam de Vida Syrah Red Wine is an exceptional creation from the DOQ Priorat Designation of Origin (Spain), made 100% with Syrah grapes. This wine stands out for its fermentation in French oak barrels for 14 months, which gives it a perfect ageing to develop a unique structure and complexity. With a limited production of only 600 bottles, each bottle reflects the meticulous work and dedication of the Clos Alkio winery.
Founded in 2020 by Mikko Alkio, a Finnish passionate about viticulture and the Catalonia region, Clos Alkio has acquired 25 hectares of vineyards around the picturesque village of Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat, one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in Spain. Their goal is to produce high-quality wines, respecting the tradition of Priorat and mainly using old vines of Garnacha and Cariñena, as well as other international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, and Tempranillo.
In addition to their red wines, Clos Alkio also produces complex white wines, always focusing on unique single varietals that allow wine enthusiasts to enjoy the most authentic and natural flavors of the different grapes from Priorat. To ensure the highest quality in their production, the winery has invested in the best machinery and production tools. Since August 2022, their production capacity has increased to 25,000 kg of grapes annually.
