The Red Wine Primus The Blend from Bodegas Veramonte, presents this red wine from the Denomination of Origin Colchagua Valley (Chile), created from 3% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cramenere, 24% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot grape varieties.
A blend that combines the diversity of each of our properties and the varieties best adapted to each of them. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the base and provides structure, while the Merlot delivers red fruit and vitality on the palate. The Carménère adds density and softness, as well as spices that join with the Petit Verdot, which contributes a smooth and complex finish. Finally, the Cabernet Franc lends elegance and persistence.
The best lots of the vintage are selected and blended. One third of the wine is aged for twelve months in 5000 L foudres, and the rest in French oak barrels, 18% new oak.
The Apalta vineyards are located on the ancient alluvial terraces of the Tinguiririca River, a privileged location sheltered by nature, where the Andes and Coastal mountain ranges meet to form an impressive crescent of mountains.
A vineyard with history, whose original vines - pre-dating phylloxera and with roots imported from France - continue to produce high quality fruit year after year.
