If you are looking to buy wine with depth, elegance, and meticulous craftsmanship, the Rompecabezas Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine is an option that will captivate you. Coming from IG Paraje Altamira, in the Uco Valley (Mendoza, Argentina), this wine is born in one of the most coveted soils in the country: a limestone and alluvial terroir, perfect for expressing the purity of Cabernet Sauvignon with precision and character.
Produced from a manual selection of high-altitude vineyard grapes, this wine reflects the potential of Paraje Altamira to offer firm-structured reds, great freshness, and a unique minerality. The winemaking is led by Felipe Stahlschmidt, who has managed to bring to life a complex wine through a careful process of microvinification.
Each component of the blend was fermented separately in small batches, allowing for detailed control over each phase of the process. The wines then aged in 225-liter French oak barrels, of first, second, and third use, where they remained for 12 months developing structure and complexity. After blending, the wine returned to the barrel for an additional 6 months, refining its components and achieving perfect integration.
With a total of 18 months of barrel aging, the Rompecabezas Cabernet Sauvignon presents an elegant and deep profile. Aromatically, the classic notes of Cabernet Sauvignon stand out: red bell pepper, currants, tobacco, black pepper, and subtle hints of vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, it is powerful, with polished tannins, excellent natural acidity, and a long and persistent finish.
This red wine is ideal for pairing with red meats, lamb, pasta with intense sauces, or aged cheeses. It is also perfect for aging and watching how it evolves in the bottle thanks to its structure and extended aging.
If you are looking to buy wine with terroir identity, meticulous craftsmanship, and aging potential, the Rompecabezas Cabernet Sauvignon is an extraordinary choice.
