The RivAlta Red Wine from Santa Ema is one of the most recommended options by international experts and critics. Coming from the prestigious Maipo Alto Designation of Origin, in the Maipo Valley, this wine reflects the elegance, complexity, and character that have positioned Chile as one of the great wine producers worldwide.
The RivAlta is made from a blend of carefully selected grapes from mountain vineyards: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle, grown on vines planted on slopes between 700 and 1,000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Andes Mountains. This unique terroir provides freshness, minerality, and great aromatic expression.
The RivAlta Red Wine boasts an impressive list of scores:
These recognitions make it a must-have reference for those looking to purchase top-quality Chilean wine.
The 2018 harvest was marked by a cooler and rainier winter and spring than usual, followed by a mild summer and perfect final ripening during March and April. The result was healthy, ripe, and excellent quality fruit, which gave rise to a wine with aromatic intensity, balanced acidity, volume, and roundness in the mouth.
The winemaking process included fermentation in stainless steel tanks, post-fermentation maceration of two weeks, and malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, each variety spent 15 months in first-use French oak barrels, before the final blend rested for another 5 months to achieve harmony and complexity. Additionally, the wine rested for at least one year in the bottle before hitting the market, ensuring outstanding quality.
The RivAlta is a wine of limited production, carefully selected by the winemaking team at Santa Ema, ensuring exclusivity and a unique experience in every glass.
