Making and aging

Remírez de Ganuza Reserva 2014 is a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Viura and Malvasía varieties. Temperature controlled prior to fermentation in specially designed cold rooms for a period of 24 hours (at between 4 and 6ºC). Grape selection on the table. De-stemmed cluster shoulders. Fermentation in French oak vats of 7000 liters. Malolactic fermentation in new barrels

Ageing of 27 months in oak barrels (95% French and 5% American)

• View: Remírez de Ganuza Reserva has a billiard cherry color, high layer with ruby glints on the rim. Fine and intense tear of slow fall that gently stains the glass
• Nose: Intense, penetrating and complex aroma. Powerful aromas of ripe black fruit with a background of sweet spices, balsamic and smoked. A creamy and enveloping oak is perceived and very integrated with the whole
• Mouth: It is powerful, tasty and fleshy. It has a soft entry with a velvety touch and a good balance between fruit and aging. Finish with many aromatic memories, from black fruits to fine balsamic notes through toasted and cocoa

Wine pairing

Remírez de Ganuza Reserva is ideal with red meats, civet and roast pork. It is recommended to decant before drinking and serve at a temperature of 16ºC
