Kraken Black Spiced is a rum made with a blend of rums from the Caribbean.
The dark black color is inspired by the mysterious black ink with which, according to legend, the Kraken covered its prey. Kraken has been named a Hot Brand by Impact magazine.
Kraken Black Spiced is distilled in steel stills in the Virgin Islands and fermented with cane sugar honey. It is then aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels. It is flavored with a recipe of aromatic ingredients (11 in total) including cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Caramel is added to achieve its deep dark color.
Appearance: Kraken Black Spiced has a dark color that resembles squid ink.
Nose: Exotic spices including cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
Palate: It shows sweet notes of coffee, caramel, and spices. Medium-bodied and smooth, with a sweet and persistent finish, this rum is great for use in cocktails and mixes, but can also be enjoyed neat.
The smooth taste of Kraken Rum is perfect for sipping on its own and can also be enjoyed as a key ingredient in traditional cocktails mixed with cola.
