San Vicente, made with the native variety "tempranillo peludo," almost extinct, and from La Canoca, an exceptional vineyard.
Since 1870, the Eguren family has been producing extraordinary wines in the Riojana Sonsierra.
San Vicente is a red wine made from the Tempranillo Peludo variety, a historical variety practically extinct due to its low yield. San Vicente is made following a traditional process. The harvest is done manually after a selection of the best bunches in the vineyard. In the winery, a second selection of grapes is made, so that only the best grapes from the best bunches are used.
After fermentation, it undergoes 19 months of aging in new Bordeaux barrels made of French oak (90%) and American oak (10%).
San Vicente is ideal for accompanying game meats and poultry, red, white, and gelatinous meats, roasts, and stews.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
