The Sweet Red Wine Casa de la Ermita Monastrell from Bodega Casa de la Ermita (Jumilla, Murcia) presents this sweet red wine from the D.O. Jumilla, made from 100% Monastrell grape varieties. It is a tasty and mellow wine in which tannins balance the sweetness.

Production: Wine made from overripe and sun-dried grapes from vineyards over 60 years old. The yield per vine did not exceed 400 grams, giving the wine a fruity character and an almost tactile fleshiness and structure. Fermented at low temperatures to preserve the fruit's own characteristics, it has been aged in oak barrels for 3 months.

It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of 6ºC.

Bodega Casa de la Ermita

Its location and care make it the perfect place for unique winemaking, a place to enjoy the creation of Jumilla wines in an idyllic setting and to have great wine tourism experiences.

Viñedos Casa de la Ermita

In this land of scarce rainfall and rocky soils, vigorous vines and ripe grapes grow, which are used to make wines with great texture, full-bodied and full of personality, captivating enthusiasts and experts. The main varieties grown are Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah, and Monastrell, all treated to achieve a perfect adaptation to exceptional land and climate.

The winery has an experimental plot dedicated to innovation and development in order to achieve a new, more carefully crafted product every day to surprise its consumers and drive the sector, cultivating varieties that are not commonly grown in this area but have great potential. Among the experimental crops are Viognier, Touriga Nacional, Caladoc, Egiodolá, Rousanne, Marsanne, Gewurztraminer, and Malbec.

In several plots, the requirements of "Organic Farming" are followed, in fact, Casa de la Ermita produces the first organic wines in Jumilla and pioneers in the Region of Murcia, thanks to its vineyards complying with the legislation of "organic agriculture" for over 5 years.
