From the wisdom of the past to the richness of the present , this Valbuena 5º presents a mature, lively and livelystyle that reinterprets its style to keep the essence intact , this wine aims to show a direct and understandablevision of the greatness of the"terroir". The winemaking process is unalterable so that the climatic conditions of each year make the difference between the different vintages. Fermentation is always temperature controlled in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeast. After fermentation, the wine is aged between wood and bottle for 5 years , hence the name Valbuena 5º. American and French wood, new and used 225-liter barrels, 20,000-liter vats. A long and complex process for a great wine.The 2017 vintage is complex due to frost and drought. The vintage was a challenging vintage that was interpreted by extracting less during fermentation and adapting it to aging. Its second year of aging was spent in wooden vats to work on the harmony and tension of the wine.This wine is a ripe, succulent and voluptuousexpression , always from the best achieved balance.
