Production and aging

Vineyards: Selection of own vineyards in the Briones, Rioja Alta terroir, with an average age between 15 and 20 years, grown in soils with a marked clay-ferrous profile. Harvest: Manual. All grapes remain in cold storage for 36 hours before processing on a selection table. Harvesting began in early October. Production: After gentle crushing, the must is gravity-fed into small French oak vats where it ferments and macerates in contact with the skins at a controlled maximum temperature of 28 °C, receiving light pump-overs for 20 days. Fermentation: In small French oak vats.

Aging: 16 months in French and American oak barrels, with periodic rackings and a minimum of 6 months in cellar.
