Gin Xoriguer is a unique gin, produced in an artisanal way in Mahon and, beyond its peculiar bottling, it has a spectacular flavor that places it among the most appreciated gins in all of Europe.
Destilerías Xoriguer produces this gin from the port of Mahon, in Menorca, in the British style, free of any additives to preserve its purity to the maximum.
A Xoriguer, in Menorcan, is the name given to the Menorcan windmills since 1784.
The mission of the distillery is to produce the most natural gin possible. Gin Xoriguer is the essential ingredient in the most typical cocktail on the island, called "pomada" in Mahón and "gin amb llimonada" in Ciutadella. It has gained the appreciation of tourists who visit this Balearic island every year and take the name of this gin back to their homes. Gradually, it has gained a reputation as a great gin, making it one of the best-selling gins in Europe, despite still being relatively unknown in Spain.
Gin Xoriguer is obtained through distillation in a copper still using wine alcohol, heated by a wood fire, and stored in oak barrels until bottling.
Appearance: Gin Xoriguer is bright and transparent. - Aromas: Soft aroma of juniper, herbs, and fruit.
Nose: Light-bodied, with flavors of juniper, wood, and herbs such as rosemary and thyme.
