Elaboration and aging
Vega Sicilia Único 2011 is the flagship wine of Vega Sicilia, although it shares with the rest of the wines from the winery its special touch.
It comes from the oldest vineyards of the estate and in its composition, in addition to tinta fina, it includes more cabernet sauvignon than merlot. Despite being old, the red wine maintains a liveliness provided by its good acidity balanced with a robust alcohol content.
The estate consists of 1,000 hectares, of which 210 are vineyards. 40 hectares are dedicated to the production of this wine.
The aging of this wine is one of the longest in the world, lasting a minimum of 10 years between wood and bottle. It is produced in French and American oak, in new barrels of 225 liters.

- Pallet: it has a wide range of flavors from aged but clean wood, with dry and pleasantly bitter tannins from the oak, along with a touch of light sweetness from its alcohol. It is a very long-lasting and refined wine.
