Baynos Tinto 2020 is a masterpiece from the García family, known for Bodegas Mauro, San Román, and Garmón Continental, within the prestigious Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja. Produced in Baños de Ebro, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, this wine reflects the ultimate expression of the terroir with ancestral viticulture. The grapes come from small plots of old vineyards, between 40 and 100 years old, in poor clay-calcareous soils. The composition is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano, hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The aging occurs for 20 months in French oak barrels, perfectly integrating the wood. Baynos Tinto is a limited production, highlighted with a score of 94-96 by Robert Parker. Its intense cherry red color and violet edges reflect its youth and potential. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of ripe fruits, spices, and a subtle wood note. On the palate, it is broad and elegant with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Ideally served between 16-18ºC, it pairs well with red meats, lamb, and aged cheeses.
