Blaneo Chardonnay is a white wine from the D.O. Navarra, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes by Bodegas Pagos de Araiz. Its production process includes the manual harvest of the grapes and a period of aging in French oak barrels that impart complexity and elegance.
Blaneo Chardonnay is a distinguished white wine from the Denomination of Origin Navarra, made with 100% Chardonnay grapes by Bodegas Pagos de Araiz. This wine is characterized by its meticulous production process: the grapes are manually harvested and after destemming, the must is naturally clarified in a steel tank. Subsequently, it is transferred into new 500-liter French oak barrels, where it undergoes alcoholic fermentation for 25 days. After fermentation, the wine is racked again and aged in the same barrels with its lees for six months, with regular batonnage enhancing its profile. At the end of this process, it is gently clarified and bottled. In tasting, Blaneo Chardonnay presents an appealing straw-yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, it displays floral notes along with citrus fruit aromas, accentuated by subtle toast that adds complexity. On the palate, it feels fruity and ripe, balanced with an acidity that enhances its longevity, leaving a finish reminiscent of yellow fruits and white flowers. This wine invites enjoyment in good company. The vineyard known as 'Chardonnay Chamaco' has limited production due to soil characteristics, allowing for particular concentration in the grapes. The 2019 harvest was notably influenced by a dry winter and a rainy spring, finishing with a dry summer that resulted in a delicate and complex wine.
