Casar de Vide Treixadura 2019, is a Ribeiro with a measured blend of the most select varieties of this ancestral area.
The treixadura combines perfectly with the albariño, the godello and the torrontés, to arrive at this special wine and person
This wine, in the visual phase, presents a bright pale straw yellow color with greenish and steel reflections, clean and very bright. On the nose, it is frank, intense, and very direct, with hints of freshly cut apple, green banana peel, also green apricot, and soft touches of white flower and carnation, along with certain tropical notes of fresh pineapple. A subtle citrus background of grapefruit. On the palate, it has excellent length and balance, with the fresh sensations of its Atlantic origin, lively acidity, and rich aromatic sensations, where clear memories of fresh apple and peach are perceived, with a long, lively, and balanced finish. The 2019 vintage has been excellent for launching this project in Ribeiro. Although some rains at the end of summer required close attention in this Atlantic climate, they truly favored and added freshness to the final maturation phase, which concluded with a harvest during the second half of September, with optimal levels of ripeness. The vineyards from which this first Casar de Vide Treixadura 2019 was produced have been selected for their proximity to both banks of the Miño River, with different orientations so that the Treixadura could express different nuances: some with freshness in the shadier orientations and others with ripeness in the more exposed ones, always seeking complexity in conjunction with other noble varieties from the area while always respecting the Atlantic character that is breathed in the landscape, where oak trees, mimosa, and Galician pines abound, over a deep siliceous soil.
