Caserío de Dueñas Verdejo Superior Sobre Lías 2022 is a white wine with great character, belonging to the prestigious Rueda denomination. This wine is produced in the historic Caserío de Dueñas winery, part of the Hijos de Antonio Barceló wine group. The grapes used come from a 300-hectare estate, which provides a unique structure to the wine, and from vineyards located in the renowned Rueda region, known for its stony soils and ability to highlight the typicity of the Verdejo variety. Harvesting is carefully carried out at low temperatures to preserve all the aromas and qualities of the wine. The pressing technique is gentle, and macerations are performed with tastings at the press to determine the optimal moment to extract the fruity character. Fermentation is controlled at low temperatures, helping to maintain the freshness and aromas of the product. This wine undergoes a process of aging on fine lees for five months before bottling, adding complexity and smoothness to the palate. In appearance, Caserío de Dueñas Verdejo Superior Sobre Lías shows a bright yellow color with greenish reflections. Its nose is intensely aromatic, with citrus notes intertwined with delicate hints of chamomile, fennel, stone fruits, and subtle touches of honey. On the palate, there is very good density and intensity, where fruity and mineral notes reappear, culminating in a fresh, balsamic, and persistent finish. The silky texture and great volume contributed by its aging on lees make this wine very balanced and delicious, ideal for enjoying on special occasions or simply for savoring after a long day.
